After many years of working with forums such as IPB, XenForo, Kunena and PhpBB,
I decided to take on the challenge of building Ninjadmins with MyBB because of these 7 reasons :

[ 1 ] - MyBB is open source - the source code is freely available to use and contribute to, with no commercial license restrictions.
[ 2 ] - MyBB is open to customization. If you know what you're doing, you can do anything.
[ 3 ] - MyBB has good built in security options, which can be improved with many security plugins.
[ 4 ] - Semantic urls - with the Google seo plugin by Andreas Klauer ( FrostSchutz ), we have the opportunity to build great readable, memorable  semantic urls.
[ 5 ] - A large selection of free / commercial plugins + themes to get started with, that can be customized. No encrypted source code ( file obfuscation / encoding ) issues to deal with.
[ 6 ] - There are many MyBB forum developers on Github, sharing their work. Most are open to answering support issues.
[ 7 ] - MyBB has a large community support forum available at ( https://community.mybb.com/ ). Many of the developers give free support.

I'll be sharing my notes, ideas and custom code that I've created to build the Ninjadmins forum with you.

My first MyBB plugin is the SEO Enforcer, which helps to prevent duplicate content penalties and
stops direct requests to non seo urls / pages by forcing a 301 redirect to the one true canonical url.

For pages that have custom url rewrites, this plugin will make it impossible to visit the page from a non sef url.

There can be only one.
If theres a rewrite rule in the .htaccess file that allows both "/about.php" and "/about",
then the SEO Enforcer will direct all requests for "/about.php" to "/about", instead of allowing requests for both pages to work.
